Danielle CPM, LM
I am thrilled to be your Origins Birth and Wellness Homebirth Midwife. As a native of the D/FW area, I have a deep connection to this community and feel honored to serve families during such a transformative time in their lives.
Before stepping into the role of a midwife, I spent nearly three years as a labor and delivery nurse in a hospital setting. It provided me with a solid foundation and invaluable experience, but I gradually began to feel frustrated with the prevailing hospital culture and values. It was during this period of reflection that I decided to pursue midwifery school in San Diego.
Midwifery school became a turning point in my life, as it was there that I truly fell in love with home birth. The privilege of attending a birth in a family's own home is indescribable. Witnessing a baby enter this world in the very place they will grow up is an incredibly special and sacred experience that deeply touched my heart.
During my midwifery training, I made the decision to move back to Texas, wanting to be closer to my family. I completed my training at the esteemed Origins Birth and Wellness Collective, an institution that shares my commitment to empowering women and families throughout their childbirth journeys. Following the completion of my internship, I eagerly joined Origins Dallas, where I had the opportunity to support and guide families at the birth center.
Working at the birth center has been an amazing experience, but I am thrilled to embark on this next chapter of my career, returning to home births and reconnecting with families in their most intimate moments. This is where my true passion lies—to provide personalized, compassionate care that honors each family's unique needs and choices.
In addition to my professional life, my most treasured title is "Aunt Dani." Family and friends mean the world to me, and their love and support inspire me to give my best to every family I serve. During my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, engaging in sand volleyball games, and cheering on my favorite teams at sporting events.
I am genuinely excited to be a part of your journey, guiding you through the miraculous experience of childbirth with unwavering support, respect, and empowerment. If you are seeking a midwife who will prioritize your needs, honor your choices, and create a safe and nurturing space for your family, I am here for you. Let's connect and begin this transformative adventure together.

FAQ
- Babies navigate the birth canal on their own – no pulling or tugging on their head and then waiting for natural rotation
- Their first touch should be from the hands of those who love them
- Their first sounds should be from the voices of those who love them
- Leaving the cord intact so baby can be sustained with oxygenated blood during the transition to breathing on their own
- Continuous skin-to-skin contact with mama
- Baby-led breastfeeding – babies left in peace to find mama’s nipple and latch on, finishing the rotations of birth and breastfeeding.
- Treat all babies gently, with dignity and respect
